| Aim: | Foster interest in learning. |

| Perceive differences between Chinese language and mother tongue. | |
| Develop four linguistic skills: Listening; Speaking; Reading; Writing. | |

| Approach: | Traditional teaching methods emphasize the importance of memorization, pinyin and tones, and grammar. Focus Mandarin applies a nontraditional teaching method which focuses on stimulating sensory perception allowing a child to learn the Chinese language spontaneously. |
| Research has found that children learn languages best between the ages of 0 – 8 as they experience the world through, their senses (sight; hearing; touch; smell and taste). Focus Mandarin offer a series of fun-filled activity programs for children (infant to age 6) to promote early brain and physical development and to stimulate perception and sensory development. | |
| With children and teenagers, our primary objective is teaching them to enjoy learning the Chinese language. Focus Mandarin offers a tailor-made, activity-based program. Through our program, children can establish the ability of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing in Chinese language. |
